Hello once again everybody! Yes, AVRAM GRANT has left Chelsea.I was never a fan of Avram Grant from the very beginning as I am a loyal Jose Mourinho fan and knowing that Avram backstabbed Mourinho

It appears that Avram was invited to Roman`s posh London gaff yesterday afternoon and emerged some three hours later having dramatically altered his opinion of his former boss and Chelsea Football Club.

"Roman offered Avram the opportunity to resign but he was having none of it."
Avram, according to the same source, implied that would not be the case and that if they wanted rid they`d have to sack him, which it appears they promptly did.
This has resulted in an icy blast being fired in the direction of Roman with another of Avram`s associates remarking,
"Roman is treating Chelsea like one of his businesses in Russia. The problem is it`s not about metal, oil and gas, its people he is dealing with and he is being totally ruthless."
A fair point but when you`ve invested as much as Roman has in our club do you not have the right to hire and fire as you see fit?
Seemingly, amongst the furore of yesterday, Avram was offered the chance to return to his old position of 'Director of Football` an offer he promptly, if the source in the NOTW is correct, refused.
Once again a close friend has been lured into making a comment remarking,
"How could Avram have accepted a new job of 'Director of Football`, which effectively meant taking a pay cut of £1.5 million a year. It`s nonsense."
In the world of football it probably is but in the real world I live in, I know thousands who`d snap your right arm off to be even offered a salary in the region of circa £2 million a year.
However, perhaps the club were a little misguided in offering Avram such a role as the friend goes on to remark,
"Anyway, no other coach would have come in knowing that Avram was still in the background - they would have been worried he would have been after his old job back."
A fair point, except after removing him from his post once would the club even consider offering him a return to that position one day?
Naturally, the events of yesterday have soured what was once a good relationship, probably inevitable in a high-pressure sport where success, after investing millions, is the minimum requirement.
However, a parting quote from one of Avram`s friends would indicate that it might take more than the occasional phone call to repair the damage, remarking,
"Avram said he doesn`t trust them any more. It was not a friendly meeting. Avram does not want anything to do with the club at all now."
"He didn`t even want to discuss his compensation, which will run into millions. He told Roman to speak to his lawyer."
WOW! That hurts! :)
Looking back though, there`s no doubting that Avram did a good job for us, albeit with limited abilities that probably affected his hold over the dressing room.
Untold glory was but a penalty kick away, his win ratio as Chelsea manager remains testament to his eight month spell so you would have thought that his dismissal would have merited more than the two paragraphs on the official web site that read,
"Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Avram Grant has had his contract as manager terminated today. This follows meetings over the last two days."
"Everybody at Chelsea FC would like to thank Avram for his contribution since taking over as manager last September. We will now be concentrating all our efforts on identifying a new manager and there will be no further comment until an appointment is made."
