Despair Not To Win The Title..

The afternoon began in hope but ended in despair for Chelsea as Manchester United retained the Barclays Premier League title. Substitute Andriy Shevchenko's second-half strike was cancelled out by Kevin Davies' added-time leveller in a 1-1 draw against Bolton. This was an unexpected result, however although we win the game, the outcome will be still the same.

An eventful game under bright sunshine at Stamford Bridge saw Chelsea lose our captain within 10 minutes of the start, carried of with an arm injury. However Terry was back, giving hope he may make Moscow by joining the lap of appreciation at the end and giving a short speech to the crowd, announcing there were no broken bones.

Chelsea began surprisingly slowly considering they knew a result better than United's at the end of the afternoon would see them crowned champions. Bolton, with nothing but pride to play for, gave their hosts little room in midfield in the opening skirmishes.

In the seventh minute, the title-chasers should have gone in front when Michael Ballack's low cross from the left found Didier Drogba at the far post. However, instead of planting the ball into the net, the normally deadly Ivorian shot high and wide of the gaping target. But with the game only 10 minutes old, Chelsea were dealt a major blow when Terry went down in agony clutching his arm.

In the second half, finally Chelsea scored, when Shevchenko managed to latch his foot onto the attempt, which seemed to be spinning wide, to finally find the net for Chelsea in the 62nd minute.

But the Chelsea fans realised it was not going to be their day when news of Manchester United's second goal from Ryan Giggs spread around the stadium. Their despair was made worse in the dying seconds when Davies shot through a crowded area to level the scores and end Chelsea's hopes for good.

But however it was good enough for the blues to finish second place in the league this season, congratulation to all the staffs and players who have been working hard throughout the season in Barclays English Premier League. Not to forget all the supporters who keep on supporting this team. Good bye to Derby County, Reading & Birmingham City which relegate from the premier league next season. We will see new comers, Stoke City, West Bromwich & one more team who still battle for their spot into the premier league next season.

To the champion, not to say their name again, congratulation also. UEFA Champions league final still to come which will see these 2 big clubs again racing for the 'european dream' trophy. Be aware Red Devil, we will take revenge at Moscow this 21st March.
