Chelsea Banned by FIFA???

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is confident the transfer ban imposed on the club will not affect their Premier League ambitions in the short term.

World governing body Fifa recently found Chelsea guilty of inducing Gael Kakuta to break his contract with Lens.

"The transfer embargo is not a problem because we have a good team and very good players," said Ancelotti.

"The club are appealing and we have to wait for a good result for us. We hope that they overturn the decision."
Chelsea cannot sign any new players during the next two transfer windows, and Fifa has confirmed that they cannot recall any players on season-long loans under the terms of their transfer ban.

I can understand non-Chelsea fans taking delight in the decision as what better way to level the playing fields (similar to Formula 1) and whilst I cannot condone that which is illegal I will be most surprised if other clubs have not engaged in similar activities in the past. Bearing in mind that when purchasing from other English clubs the excessive fees paid by clubs such as Chelsea are injected directly back into these clubs, this ban is also not good for the English game - but then I believe that this is ultimately the goal of FIFA! They don't like seeing you guys having the best, most exciting league in the world.

Personally i don't feel that this punishment will affect Chelsea too much, we have a good strong squad, and some good youth players coming through, but I hope Chelsea fight this decision all the way. UP THE BLUES.

Chelsea 2 - 1 Hull City

Chelsea have won!

Two goals from Didier Drogba was enough to seal the win. He missed a few chances but made up for it with a second superb goal in the last dying minutes of the game.

Chelsea won because of Drogba, who was the game’s towering presence and the only one who looked likely to beat Hull’s excellent defence. It might seem a cliche to say the centre-forward is worth his weight in gold but in this team, in this league, that might not be far from the truth. His first goal was a brilliant free kick and though he had the good grace to say the winner was lucky, it was still a delightfully skillful cross that might have made a goal for Salomon Kalou had it not sneaked in.

Chelsea's happy habit for opening day success continues but it needed a stoppage-time winner from Didier Drogba. And what a winner it was too, scored from what is traditionally termed an impossible angle - the second of what will be Goal of the Month contenders from the Ivorian.

RIBERY TO CHELSEA?

Roman Abramovich is taking matters to his own hands by making a deal with Bayern Munich
over Franck Ribery.

Its not a done deal yet, but news is the owner is personally making inquiries and even flying over to Germany to talk with Bayern Munich's General Manager, Mr. Uli Hoeness.

This is taken from THESUN.CO.UK:

ROMAN ABRAMOVICH will fly to Germany to make a £40million raid for winger Franck Ribery.

The billionaire Chelsea owner called Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness last weekend.

He made clear his intention to recruit the French star and is willing to pay the most ever by a British club to get him.

A senior Bayern source said: "Uli was taken by surprise by the phone call but was very honest and courteous with Mr Abramovich.

"We are still resolved to keep Ribery but Hoeness agreed to meet with Abramovich in Germany to discuss any offer."

As SunSport revealed last month, Manchester United and Chelsea will both launch bids for Ribery this summer.

United have yet to make an offer and Abramovich has now stolen a march on them.

New Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti was promised a marquee signing by the Russian billionaire but so far bids for Kaka and Alexandre Pato have failed.

Ribery has openly declared his preference to join Real Madrid.

Munich fear Ribery has signed a pre-contract similar to Cristiano Ronaldo which will see him leave for Real next summer.

Angered by Real's arrogance, the Germans may try to sell him to Chelsea.

YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE! CHELSEA!!!

Business Talks

One of the many tabloid BS that i've caught up is this, Chelsea bidding a ridiculous 25M for Maicon from Inter Milan.

I'm asking WHY? Why do Chelsea need to look for a right-back when we've got Jose "Boss Man" Bosingwa?

I'll take Bosingwa ahead of Maicon any day. Even though Maicon is making Dani Alves sit on the bench in the confederations cup.

UNLESS, if Deco + Carvalho goes to Inter and Maicon to Chelsea and Bosingwa to Bayern Munich and Ribery to Chelsea, that would be a superb deal!

Your thoughts please!
